I bought a new plant for Jeff's house the other day.. It's an Haworthia (I think).. Whatever.. Jeff LOVES it.. sits in it for hours and hours 😉 And has a bit of a nibble on it too! The Red tint is from his heatlamp, btw...
Dani mentioned in passing one day that she had been into a Garden Centre/Pet store (Olivers) and they had a very friendly and cool Bearded Dragon sitting on the counter.
I happened to be driving past Olivers a couple of days later, and thought I'd pop in for a looksee, as I've always had a bit of a fascination with Reptiles, but had never taken the time to really check them out.
Sadly, the adult Beardie had moved on the day before, but they had a whole tank full of Babies - and were they cute? Oh yeah!
So, not content with two needy Golden Retrievers to occupy my time I left Olivers (Really nice people BTW) with a shiny new Reptile tank!
And of course : Jeff!
More astute readers may have noticed the missing piece in this puzzle.. The research. Yep, I did absolutely NO research before bringing Jeff home, and a bit of a learning curve ensued.. lots of browsing forums and articles about Bearded Dragons, their needs and quirks.
Evidently Beardies are rather particular (needy?) concerning their environment, so I soon embarked on a mission to make his house nicer for him, and to try and make him comfortable. 3 Weeks later, his tank looked like THIS :
Already, visitors are commenting that Jeff's house is nicer than mine 🙁

We stumbled across this lot while we were out walking the dogs this morning..
Surprisingly enough, it was the Golden Retriever Club (which, like most clubs, I have studiously avoided!)
Seemed a nice bunch of people, apart from the obligatory crabby old bitch who got pissed off that my dog looked at her dog, and was obviously not trained properly.
The dogs had a great time, which was the main thing, and the whole bunch was surprisingly subdued for a pack of Goldens 🙂

It was rather nice at West Beach last night 🙂

We Spent the Weekend at Black Point, on the Yorke Peninsula, with Leng and Chris, and Jess and Jake!
The Beach Shack we rented was passable, although nothing to write home about, but the dogs had an absolute BLAST!
They never stopped from the moment we got there, and played in the water, sand and seaweed non-stop.
We had to take them to the doggy-wash on the way home, of course, and they are totally shattered 🙂
It was a really nice weekend!
We had a fantastic walk on the beach today. The pups were really good, hardly pissed anyone off 🙂
They must have enjoyed themselves, as I had to bathe them both when we got back, they were disgusting! And they even behaved perfectly in the Bath!

Another life changing doggie gadget! Possibly almost as amazing as the PooperScooper, I can't speak more highly of the Citronella Collar I bought last week!
I've had a long running problem with our girl-dog Jessie conducting frequent barking battles through the fence with neighbours dogs. I've tried a lot of stuff up to locking her in the laundry for a half hour each time she transgressed. All to no avail.
But this baby really seems to work so far, all she does now is whine a little!
It snaps around her neck, and works by emitting a fine citronella spray every time it detects a bark!
Loving the peace and quiet, and now Jess doesn't get herself all worked up all the time! Win-Win!
